Financial aid workshop for students of color: The Stanford Undergraduate Admission Office and the Association of Black Admission and Financial Aid Officers of the Ivy League and Sister Schools are hosting a workshop for students of color and their families on admissions and financial aid at Stanford on Saturday, May 15, 2010. While all students are welcome to attend, the event is geared toward students from ethnic minority groups. Please register at abafaoilss.eventbrite.com.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated Signa Lota Chapter 2010 Percy H. Steel Scholarship: is offering financial support to African American High School Seniors who are continuing their education at a four (4) year university or college. Eligibility: African American Graduating high school seniors residing in Alameda or Contra Costa counties and enrolled in four (4) year program at a university or college for the Fall 2010 and Winter 2011 semesters. Gateway to College Program: Laney College is now accepting applications to its Gateway to College Program. This program is for students between the ages of 16 and 20 who will not earn a high school diploma by June 2010. Students must reside in Oakland and read at an 8th grade level or above.
